AP Physics C Mechanics Application

Course Description:

This course is designed for students needing a strong physics background for anticipated college work.  In this course, Newtonian Mechanics will be constructed using both conceptual and mathematical modeling, including some calculus; therefore a strong background in mathematics is required.  The emphasis of this course will be to use modeling and problem-solving techniques to connect the abstract mathematics of physics with the concrete world.  Students will be given the opportunity to earn college credit upon successful completion of both this course and the AP Physics C Mechanics test taken at the student’s expense.

Prerequisites:

Honors Physics
Calculus (may be taken concurrently)
